RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #26-552-7 with Bailey T. Lee, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $564,000, to provide radiology services to patients at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC) for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On June 24, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-552-3 (as amended by Amendment Agreements #26-552-4, #26-552-5, and #26-552-6) with Bailey T. Lee, M.D, for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016, to provide radiology services for patients at CCRMC including consultation, on-call coverage services, supervision and interpretation of CT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, invasive procedures and plain films. Approval of Contract #26-552-7 will allow the Contractor to continue providing radiology services through June 30, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring radiology services at CCRMC will not have access to Contractor’s services.
