RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Public Works Director, a purchase order with County Asphalt in an amount not to exceed $1,700,000 to procure road maintenance materials for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Local Road Funds.
BACKGROUND:
Public Works Road Maintenance maintains over 670 miles of roads in Contra Costa County. To do so requires tons of asphalt. As bid on BidSync #1403-071, County Asphalt has been awarded as the primary vendor for this commodity. The initial term of this bid is one year with four possible one year extensions. This request is for the final three one year extensions.
