RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #26-725-5 with Institute for Healthcare Improvement, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $1,260,000 to provide consulting and technical support services to Contra Costa Regional Medical Center’s (CCRMC) Chief Executive Officer for the period from May 1, 2016 through April 30, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise I Funds.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #26-725-5 Contractor will provide consulting and technical support services for CCRMC’s Chief Executive Officer, including but not limited to: strategic guidance, integration of physical and behavioral health services and infrastructure improvement in executing the Public Hospital Redesign and Incentives in the Medi-Cal (PRIME) project for the period from May 1, 2016 through April 30, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, Contractor will not provide consulting and technical support for CCRMC’s Chief Executive Officer.
