RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #26-576-6 with Carrington College, an educational institution, effective May 1, 2016, to amend Contract #26-576-3 (as amended by #26-576-4 and #26-576-5), to extend the term from June 30, 2016 to June 30, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

On October 16, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-576-3 (as amended by Contract Extension Agreement #26-576-4 and Amendment Agreement #26-576-5) with Carrington College for the provision of providing supervised field instruction experience with Contra Costa Health Services for the period from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2016.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #26-576-6 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not continue providing supervised fieldwork instruction experience at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers.
