RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #76-546 with Nicole C. Hickey, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $375,000 to provide pulmonary services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC), for the period from May 15, 2016 through May 14, 2017.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #76-546, the Contractor will provide pulmonary services, including but not limited to, consultation, clinic coverage, training, administration, and medical and/or surgical procedures in the Critical Care Unit at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) for the period May 15, 2016 through May 14, 2017.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring pulmonary services will not have access to Contractor’s services.
