RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT Presentation on 2015 Fire Season

FISCAL IMPACT:

BACKGROUND:

The 2015 fire season is upon us. Due to persistent drought conditions, the frequency and hazards related to vegetation fires will be significant. The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District is preparing for this risk both by taking actions to prevent and mitigate exterior hazards and having the resources ready to respond when vegetation fires occur. These actions will save lives and property. The attached presentation will provide a brief summary about these programs. The presentation will be followed by a short question and answer period.
