RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #24-628-15 with Nancy E. Ebbert, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $299,880, to provide outpatient psychiatric care services to adult patients, for the period from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Services Act. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On April 22, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24-628-14 with Nancy E. Ebbert, M.D, for the provision of outpatient psychiatric care services for the Intensive Early Psychosis Intervention (First Hope) Program, for the period from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #24-628-15 will allow Contractor to continue providing outpatient psychiatric care services through June 30, 2016.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s psychiatric care services.
