RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21681to add one (1) Database Administrator (LWSA) position ($6,642-$8,073) and cancel vacant Information Systems Programmer/Analyst III (LPTB)($5,782-$7,028) position #11241 in the Health Services Department.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The additional costs associated with this action are approximately $18,435 annually with benefits, including $4,452 in pension costs. Costs will be funded by Medi-Cal Waiver Revenue offset.

BACKGROUND:

Contra Costa Health Services Information Technology division has the need for an additional Database Administrator position to support the ever increasing number of databases and servers.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, CCHS I.T. will not have the adequate staffing to support its databases and servers.
