RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with Philips Healthcare Inc., in the amount of $138,111.03 to purchase new patient monitors in our Emergency Department trauma rooms at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC), for the period May 1, 2015 through April 30, 2016.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% funding is included in the Hospital Enterprise Fund I Budget.
BACKGROUND:
The Emergency Department is using an outdated patient monitors that are no longer supported by the manufacturer. By replacing the monitors we are standardized on the Philips patient monitors, transmitters, application servers and database servers.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the Purchase Order is not approved, we will not be able to provide the best care and service for our patient population at CCRMC.
