RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with Philips Healthcare Inc., in the amount of $167,759.17 to purchase a new Telemetry system for our Telemetry Unit at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC), for the period May 1, 2015 through April 30, 2016.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% funding is included in the Hospital Enterprise Fund I Budget.
BACKGROUND:
The Telemetry Unit is using an outdated telemetry system that is no longer supported by the manufacturer. By replacing the system and updating it, we are standardized on the Philips patient monitors, transmitters, application servers and database servers. All Philips Healthcare Inc. devices connect to ccLink.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the Purchase Order is not approved, we will not be able to provide the best care and service for our patient population at CCRMC.
