RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Gigi Walker (dba Walker’s Auto Body) in an amount not to exceed $320,000 to provide automotive body damage repair services for the period June 1, 2015 through May 31 2018, Countywide.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This cost is to be funded through Fleet Service’s Internal Service Fund. (100% Internal Service Fund - Fleet)

BACKGROUND:

Fleet Services maintains all County vehicles. Part of this maintenance is vehicle accident repair and painting. Various reasons exist for vehicle body repair and painting, from damage caused by collisions to deterioration.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, automotive body damage repair services will be discontinued.
