RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #77-575 with UniHealth, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Professional Corporation (dba UniHealth, LCSW, PC), a professional corporation, in an amount not to exceed $400,000, to provide therapeutic behavioral health services for Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members and County recipients, for the period June 1, 2023 through May 31, 2025.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract will result in contractual service expenditures of up to $400,000 over a 2-year period and will be funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II revenues.

BACKGROUND:

CCHP has an obligation to provide certain specialized behavioral health services - therapy health care services including but not limited to; licensed clinical social work and marriage and family therapy to CCHP members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. This is a new contractor that will be part of the CCHP Provider Network providing these services as of June 1, 2023.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Under new Contract #77-575, this contractor will provide behavioral health services -therapy for CCHP members and County recipients for the period June 1, 2023 through May 31, 2025.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized behavioral health services for CCHP members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contract with the County will not be provided.
