In developing transportation related issues and proposals to bring forward for consideration by TWIC, staff receives input from the Board of Supervisors (BOS), references the County's adopted Legislative Platforms, coordinates with our legislative advocates, partner agencies and organizations, and consults with the Committee.
This report includes four sections, 1: Local, 2: Regional, 3: State, and 4: Federal.
1. Local
Contra Costa Transportation Authority's (CCTA) Integrated Transit Plan (ITP)
CCTA is initiating the Contra Costa Integrated Transit Plan (ITP) which was included in the 2023 list of TWIC referrals (#17). From the Request for Proposals:
The Integrated Transit Plan (ITP) will present a dynamic vision for how the county’s multi-modal network will continue to evolve in support of the region’s economic development, quality of life, social equity and environmental objectives.
Work has not yet begun, staff will bring updates to TWIC as the effort proceeds.
