RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the resignation of Sydney Mendez, DECLARE a vacancy in the Youth Representative 2 Seat on the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council for a term ending June 30, 2023, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the County Probation Officer.

BACKGROUND:

Sydney Mendez informed Probation that she is unable to continue with participation on the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council. With this resignation, Representative 2 seat needs to be declared vacant, and the vacancy posted. This seat expires on June 30, 2023.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If unapproved, the committee may not be able to establish a required quorum and conduct routine business.
