RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chief Information Officer, Department of Information Technology, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Leckey Consulting, Inc., to extend the term from November 30, 2022 to May 31, 2023 and to increase the payment limit by $275,000 from $948,500 to a new payment limit of $1,223,500.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The cost of this contract is funded by General Fund reserves

BACKGROUND:

Leckey Consulting, Inc. is providing professional project management services to facilitate the implementation of the Workday hosted financial management system modernization project. In September of 2021, the Board authorized a six-month extension to the contract with Accenture, LLP who is providing implementation and consulting services for the Workday project. This amendment was necessary as the County decided to add the implementation of the BuySpeed procurement system to the scope of the financial modernization project. The County has now requested that Leckey Consulting, Inc. continue project management services though the completion of the project and Contractor has agreed to remain through May 31, 2023.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this extension is not approved, the County does not have the necessary support staff to assume this critical role.
