RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #77-468 with Instant Urgent Care, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $500,000, to provide urgent care services for Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members and county recipients for the period from June 1, 2022 through May 31, 2024.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract will result in contractual service expenditures of up to $500,000 over a two-year period and will be funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II revenues.

BACKGROUND:

CCHP has an obligation to provide certain specialized urgent care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the county. Urgent care clinics/centers provide treatment for non-life threatening illnesses and injuries. This is a new contractor part of the CCHP Provider Network.

Under Contract #77-468, contractor will provide urgent care services for CCHP members and county recipients for the period June 1, 2022 through May 31, 2024.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized urgent care health care services for CCHP members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contract with the County will not be provided.
