RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors, to execute the State Match Program Agreement with State of California (Caltrans) that will allow the County to receive $100,000 in State Matching funds for transportation purposes for Fiscal Year 2020/2021 as recommended by the Public Works Director, Countywide.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This agreement will authorize the County to receive the amount of $100,000 from the State Matching fund program. (100% Road Improvement Fund)

BACKGROUND:

The State Match Program Agreement No. X21-5928(160) specifies that Caltrans agrees to pay the County $100,000 from the unobligated balance of its State Matching monies for Fiscal Year 2020/2021. The money must be used for transportation purposes in accordance with Article XIX of the California State Constitution.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Failure to approve this agreement will eliminate a potential funding source.
