RECOMMENDATION(S):

Adopt Resolution No. 2021/148 designating the week of May 16-22, 2021 as National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, with the theme of “This is EMS: Caring for Our Communities.”

BACKGROUND:

May 16-22, 2021 is National Emergency Medical Services Week. This resolution honors local EMS responders including emergency medical technicians, paramedics, police, firefighters, emergency nurses, emergency physicians, emergency medical dispatchers, EMS educators, EMS administrators, and others, for the critical role they play in our EMS system.
