RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment Agreement #24-680-37 with Telecare Corporation, a corporation, effective May 1, 2020, to amend Contract #24-680-36, to increase the payment limit by $135,794, from $1,815,818 to a new payment limit of $1,951,612, with no change in the term of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 77% Mental Health Realignment, 18% Hospital Enterprise Fund I, and 5% County General Fund. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On June 11, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24-680-36 with Telecare Corporation for the provision of mental health Gero-psychiatric services and sub-acute care for Severely and Persistently Mentally Ill (SPMI) patients for the period from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020.

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24-680-37 will allow Contractor to provide additional services through June 30, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not be compensated for additional services authorized by County’s Behavioral Health Services Division.
