RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #76-613, containing mutual indemnification, with Cardinal Health Pharmacy Services, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $170,000 to provide physician medication order services for Martinez Detention Facility, for the period from May 1, 2020 through April 30, 2022.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% General Fund.
BACKGROUND:
On May 8, 2018, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #76-613 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #76-613-1), for the provision of remote entry of physician medication orders from the Martinez Detention Facility including reviewing and entering all medication orders into the Customer’s Pharmacy Information System, resolving all incomplete or questionable orders submitted by County Pharmacist, providing clinical support to Detention facility staff and conducting daily briefings with the Director of Pharmacy, for the period from May 1, 2018 through April 30, 2020.
