RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #76-572-2 containing mutual indemnification with Kan Di Ki, LLC (dba TridentCare), a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $150,000 for the provision of on-site diagnostic imaging services at the Martinez Adult Detention Facility and the West County Detention Facility in Richmond, for the period from September 1, 2019 through August 31, 2022.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #76-572-2, Contractor will provide on-site diagnostic imaging services at the Martinez Adult Detention Facility and West County Detention Facility for the period from September 1, 2019 through August 31, 2022. This Contract includes mutual indemnification to hold harmless both parties for any claims arising out of the performance of this Contract.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring on-site diagnostic imaging services at the Martinez Adult Detention Facility and the West County Detention Facility in Richmond will not have access to Contractor’s services.
