RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with Omnicell, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $325,872 for repair services for the Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% funding is included in the Hospital Enterprise Fund I Budget.
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa Regional Medical Center has used Omnicell, Inc. since 2005 in the hospital, Emergency Department and selected clinics. These Automated Dispensing Cabinets, (ADC) interface with our pharmacy information system (EPIC). We will be leasing Omnicell equipment through Meridian Leasing Corporation but they do not cover the support services needed in case repairs are required so we must purchase the coverage through Omnicell directly. We have been satisfied with Omnicell service over the past 15 years and wish to continue our working relationship with this company.
