RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #77-068-1with HYGEIA II Medical Group Inc. (dba A Breast Pump and More), in an amount not to exceed $125,000, to provide lactation equipment and supplies to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members, for the period April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

In April 2017, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #77-068 with HYGEIA II Medical Group, Inc. (dba A Breast Pump and More) to provide durable medical equipment and supply services to CCHP members for the period from April 1, 2017 through March 31, 2019.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #77-068-1 will allow Contractor to continue providing durable medical equipment and supply services to CCHP members through March 31, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services for CCHP members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
