RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Resolution No. 2019/155 proclaiming the week of May 19-25, 2019 as "National Public Works Week" in Contra Costa County, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Countywide.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

The Public Works Department would like to involve all citizens and civic organizations in Public Works by providing information about the Public Works Department and to share with them the challenges involved in providing public works services and to recognize the contributions that public works personnel make every day to our health, safety and comfort.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Contra Costa County will not be able to participate in the nationwide Public Works Week.
