RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment #23-461-8 with Vialanguage, Inc., a corporation, effective March 1, 2019, to amend Contract #23-461-7, to increase the payment limit by $205,000, from $500,000, to a new payment limit of $705,000, with no change in the term of December 1, 2016 through November 30, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Amendment is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise I Fund. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On December 16, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-461-7 with Vialanguage, Inc. for the provision of translation of written documents for the County’s Health Services Department, for the period from December 1, 2016 through November 30, 2019.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-461-8 will allow the Contractor to provide additional translation services through November 30, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not be able to provide additional translation services.
