The District will receive revenue from the sale of surplus property subject to the expenses related to the transaction.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District; successor in interest to the dissolved Bay Point Fire Protection District, acquired the Property in May 1969. The Property is the former site of a reserve fire station that was staffed by volunteers. The fire station is approximately 900 square feet and has been non-operational as an active fire station for over 20 years and was used as a storage facility until 2014. It was permanently closed in 2014. The surrounding area is being serviced by other fire stations for primary emergency response. The Property is no longer needed and the District wishes to sell it as surplus property.
The District would continue to own and be responsible for the maintenance of the Property.
