Referral History:
On March 14, 2017, the Board of Supervisors appointed Scott Warfe to the Education/Research seat on the County's Sustainability Commission. This seat is designated for one member who is a resident of Contra Costa County and represents an education institution in Contra Costa County or a research institution in Contra Costa or a neighboring County. On February 25, 2018, Mr. Warfe notified the County Sustainability Coordinator that he is no longer able to serve on the Sustainability Commission. The Ad Hoc Committee on Sustainability has the responsibility of recommending candidates for vacancies on the Sustainability Commission.
Referral Update:

The Clerk of the Board posted the vacancy on the Sustainability Commission in March 2018. The vacancy was advertised on the County's web page and circulated through social media and direct outreach to the Sustainability Commission and individuals who are on the service lists for the Ad Hoc Committee on Sustainability and the Sustainability Commission. The application deadline was April 24, 2018.

Three people applied for the At-Large, Education/Research seat. The Ad Hoc Committee on Sustainability interviewed candidates for this seat earlier in the agenda for this meeting.
