RECOMMENDATION(S):

DENY claims filed by CSAA, Felina Bacinett, Terry Brown, Estate of Thanh Huynh, In Kee Kang, JoAnn McPheeters, and Khlood Salah.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

CSAA: Property claim for damage to vehicle in undisclosed amount. Subrogation claim by insurer. Insured was involved in an automobile accident with a County employee in Hercules.

Felina Bacinett: Property claim for damage to vehicle in the amount of $5,355.64. Claimant alleges her car was damaged by a wire hanging in the middle of the road in El Sobrante.  
  
Terry Brown: Property claim for damage to Bluetooth in the amount of $160. Claimant alleges Sheriff’s deputies dropped his Bluetooth device on the ground and ran it over in Oakley.  
  
Estate of Thanh Huynh: Personal injury claim for auto accident in the amount of $1,000,000. Decedent’s estate claims decedent died in an automobile accident in Hercules because a sign had fallen off its pole.  
  
In Kee Kang: Property claim for damage to fence in the amount of $500. Claimant alleges damage to his fence caused by a firefighter responding to a fire near claimant’s residence in Concord.  
  
JoAnn McPheeters: Property claim for earrings and necklace in the amount of $6,000. Claimant alleges jewelry was not returned to her when she was released from jail.  
  
Khlood Salah: Personal injury claim involving a child dependency case in the amount of $10,000,000. Claimant alleges her child was improperly taken from her during dependency proceedings.
