RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #76-613 with Cardinal Health Pharmacy Services, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $130,000 for the provision of remote order entry of physician medication orders for Martinez Detention Facility, for the period May 1, 2018 through April 30, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #76-613, the contractor will provide remote entry of physician medication orders for Martinez Detention Facility, including reviewing and entering all medication orders into the Customer’s Pharmacy Information System, resolving all incomplete or questionable orders submitted by the County Pharmacist, providing clinical support to Detention facility staff and conducting daily briefings with the Director of Pharmacy, through April 30, 2020. This contract includes mutual indemnification.
