RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #76-583-2 with Universal Health Services, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $321,588, to provide preventative maintenance and repair services on various biomedical equipment and systems at Contra Costa Regional Medical (CCRMC) and Health Centers for the period June 1, 2018 through May 31, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

On June 20, 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #76-583 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #76-583-1) for the provision of preventative maintenance and repair services on Mesa Temperature Monitoring System, GCX End User Devices, Metro Flow Electronic Medical Record Workstations and Hugs Infant Security System at CCRMC for the period from June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #76-583-2 will allow the contractor to continue to provide preventative maintenance and repair services through May 31, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, the County will not have repair and preventative maintenance services provided by the contractor.
