3. CONSIDER recommending to the Board of Supervisors the appointment of Paul Mikolaj to the Member-At-Large #10 seat on the Advisory Council on Aging with a term expiring September 30, 2018, as recommended by the Council.
 
  Accepted recommendation and directed staff to forward to the Board of Supervisors for approval.

4. CONSIDER recommending to the Board of Supervisors the appointment of Deborah Son to the At-Large #11 seat with a term expiring February 28, 2018 and Michelle Brown to the At-Large #15 seat with a term expiring February 28, 2017 on the Contra Costa Commission for Women, as recommended by the Commission.
 
  Accepted recommendations and directed staff to forward to the Board of Supervisors for approval.

5. CONSIDER recommending to the Board of Supervisors the appointment of Cynthia Molander to the Community Representative #3 seat on the Local Planning and Advisory Council for Early Care and Education with a term expiring April 30, 2018, as recommended by the County Office of Education.
  Accepted recommendation and directed staff to forward to the Board of Supervisors for approval.  Ruth Fernandez will forward Supervisor Gioia a list of the LPC's current vacancies so that he can support their outreach and advocacy efforts.

6. CONSIDER recommending to the Board of Supervisors the appointment of John Montagh to the Additional #2 seat on the Workforce Development Board with a term expiring June 30, 2020, as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Department.
  Accepted recommendation and directed staff to forward to the Board of Supervisors for approval.  Donna Van Wert will forward Supervisor Gioia a list of the WDB current vacancies so that he can support their outreach and advocacy efforts.

7. ACCEPT the report from the Veterans Service Office on the Stand Down on the Delta for Homeless Veterans event and forward to the Board of Supervisors for their information.
  Accepted the report and directed staff to forward to the Board of Supervisors.  Supervisor Andersen asked whether data on success rates for vets receiving services is available and whether tracking vets who repeatedly attend these annual events is available to determine whether needs are being met.  Nathan Johnson stated he would return to F&HS after the stand down to report on the data and statistics they have on services and success rates.

8. CONSIDER accepting the report on the County's Laura's Law - Assisted Outpatient Treatment Program (AOT) implementation for the period February through December 2016.
  Approved report as presented and directed staff to forward to the Board of Supervisors.  The Health Services Department will return to F&HS, likely in September, to report on AOT data for the period July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.  The Committee accepted public comment.  Speakers: Duane Chapman and Teresa Pasquini.  Supervisor Andersen asked that the Department follow up on some of the questions and issues raised by members of the public during public comment.

9. CONSIDER accepting the report from the Employment and Human Services on the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and forward to the Board of Supervisors for their information.
  Accepted the report and directed staff to forward to the Board of Supervisors.

11. Adjourn
