RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the resignation of Randolph Hencken, DECLARE a vacancy in the District 1-A Seat on the Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by Supervisor Gioia.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

The mission of the Contra Costa County Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board is to assess family and community needs regarding treatment and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse problems. They report their findings and recommendations to the Contra Costa Health Services Department, the Board of Supervisors and the communities they serve.

Mr. Hencken is resigning his seat due to personal reasons.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The seat would remain vacant.
