RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-395-21 with LocumTenens.com, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $2,250,000, to provide temporary physician services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC), for the period from March 1, 2017 through February 29, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On April 19, 2016 the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-395-20 with LocumTenens.com, LLC for the provision of temporary physician services CCRMC for the period from March 1, 2016 through February 28, 2017.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #26-395-21 will allow Contractor to continue providing temporary physician services at CCRMC through February 29, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring temporary physician services will not have access to Contractor’s services.
