RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPOINT Ms. Anna Fehrenbach as the San Ramon Local Committee representative to the Advisory Council on Aging for a term ending September 30, 2018 and APPOINT Ms. Ruth McCahan as the Lafayette Local Committee representative to the Advisory Council on Aging for a term ending September 30, 2017 as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Director.

BACKGROUND:

Ms. Fehrenbach resides in San Ramon and was recommended for appointment by the San Ramon City Council for the term ending September 30, 2018. The seat is currently vacant.

Ms. McCahan resides in Lafayette and was recommended for appointment by the Lafayette City Council for a term ending September 30, 2017. The seat is currently vacant.

The Advisory Council on Aging (ACOA) provides a means for county-wide planning, cooperation, and coordination of individuals and groups interested in improving and developing services and opportunities for the older residents of the County.The ACOA provides leadership and advocacy on behalf of older persons and serves as a channel for communication and information on aging.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Advisory Council on Aging may not be able to conduct routine business.
