RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with A.S. Dutchover & Associates, effective May 23, 2017, to increase the payment limit by $100,000 to a new payment limit of $350,000 to continue providing on-call landscape architect services to complete existing projects, Countywide.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% Federal, State, and/or Local Funds.

BACKGROUND:

On January 13, 2015, the Board of Supervisors approved a contract with A.S. Dutchover & Associates to provide on-call landscape architect services. Special Districts staff recommends amending the Agreement to increase the payment limit by $100,000 to a new payment limit of $350,000. This amendment is necessary since the scope for the Consultant's services is greater than initially anticipated.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Without Board approval, the Consultant will not be able to continue providing on-call landscape architect services for existing projects.
