RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #76-504-12 with Peter Won, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $1,446,000, for the provision of radiology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC), for the period from June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On June 17, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #76-504-11 with Peter Won, M.D. to provide radiology services including, but not limited to: consultation, on-call coverage, supervision and interpretation of CT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, invasive procedures and plain films at CCRMC, for the period from June 1, 2014 through May 31, 2017.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #76-504-12 will allow the Contractor to continue providing radiology services at CCRMC, through May 31, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring radiology services at CCRMC would not have access to Contractor’s services.
