RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #27-304-8 with Daniel L. Zimmerman, M.D., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $975,000, to provide OB/GYN services to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members for the period from June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Contra Costa Health Plan Enterprise Fund II. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On May 6, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-304-7, with Daniel L. Zimmerman, M.D., for the period from June 1, 2014 through May 31, 2016 for the provision of OB/GYN services.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #27-304-8 will allow Contractor to continue providing OB/GYN services to CCHP members, through May 31, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
