RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a contract with the City of Oakley, including mutual indemnification, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $2,100 to provide access to the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications system for the period of May 6, 2016 through July 31, 2016.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No net County cost. Up to $2,100.00 in Revenue.

BACKGROUND:

The Office of the Sheriff will provide California Law Enforcement Telecommunications Access Services (CLETS) to the City of Oakley. Services will be provided until such time the City of Oakley has access to CLETS.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Failure to approve this contract will result in the inability of the Sheriff's Office to provide the City of Oakley with access to CLETS resulting in a safety concern for the community.
