RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-564-2 with Soliant Health, Inc., a corporation, effective January 1, 2016, to amend Contract #23-564 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #23-564-1), to increase the payment limit by $440,200, from $530,000 to a new payment limit of $970,200, and to extend the termination date from June 30, 2016 through June 30, 2017.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This amendment is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

In January 2015 the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #23-564 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #23-564-1) with Soliant Health, Inc. for provision of recruitment services for the Information Systems Unit of the Health Services Department, for the period from January 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-564-2 will allow the Contractor to provide additional recruitment services for the Health Services Department Information Systems Unit and extend the termination date through June 30, 2017.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, the Information Systems Unit will not be able to recruit and fill vacant positions.
