RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE Appropriation adjustment No. 5071 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $130,000 from Buchanan Field Fixed Assets (4853) to Buchanan Field Operations (4841) to cover the cost of slurry seal treatment at County owned properties at Buchanan Field Airport.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funded 100% by the Airport Enterprise Fund.

BACKGROUND:

This action revises the Airport budget due to cost increases (slurry seal treatment of pavements) at Buchanan Field Airport. The appropriation transfers funds within the Airport Budget from the Buchanan Field Fixed Asset account to the Buchanan Field Operations account; no new funds are being added as there are sufficient resources to cover total project costs.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If not approved, the Airport Enterprise Fund budget will be out of balance as expenditures in Buchanan Field Operations (4841) will far exceed current Airport appropriations.
