RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Uplift Family Services in an amount not to exceed $509,494 to continue to provide family preservation support services to families referred from existing child welfare cases and/or the County Probation Department, who are at risk of having their children placed in out-of-home care for the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. (30% County, 70% State)

BACKGROUND:
The Employment and Human Services Department, Children and Family Services Bureau is continuing family preservation support services providing ongoing case management services that engage and establish a positive rapport with families who have been referred from existing child welfare cases and/or County Probation Department who are experiencing multiple stressors impacting their ability to parent effectively and consequently at risk of having their children placed in out-of-home care.
