RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE Fiscal Year (F/Y) 2015/16 Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No. 5068 to add the Byron Airport Pavement Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Sign Replacement project to the budget in the amount of $927,229 and increasing revenue from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Grant of $834,506, matching Caltrans Grant of $41,725 and remaining $50,998 from the Airport’s Capital Maintenance Reserve Fund to offset this expense.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Total project costs $927,229 of which is funded by: 90% - FAA Grant, 4.5% - Caltrans and 5.5% - Airport’s Capital Maintenance Reserve Fund.
BACKGROUND:
On October 5, 2015, the Byron Airport Pavement Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Sign Replacement Project commenced. This item was not included in the F/Y 2015/16 budget as project timing was not determined until after the budget had been set. The appropriation of the FAA Grant matching, the matching Caltrans Grant and a portion of the Airport’s Capital Maintenance Reserve Fund are needed to accurately reflect this project in our current year budget and to offset this expense.
