RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21652 to decrease the hours of Exempt Medical Staff Optometrist (VPS1) position #7769 at salary level 1X2-1934 ($7,482.94 - $8,259.77) from 32/40 to 24/40 in the Health Services Department. (Represented)

FISCAL IMPACT:

Cost savings to Enterprise Fund I. Upon approval, this action has an annual cost savings of approximately $29,138.

BACKGROUND:

The Health Services Department is requesting to decrease the hours of Exempt Medical Staff Optometrist position #7769 from 32/40 to 24/40 in the West County Health Center as the incumbent has consistently worked the reduced hours and will continue to do so indefinitely.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the incumbent will not receive the appropriate accruals and benefits attached to her position.
