RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a first amendment to the Joint Occupancy Agreement with the Judicial Council of California to reconfigure the allocation of parking spaces in the parking lots adjacent to 100 37th Street, Richmond. (Project No.: T00057)

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

Pursuant to the Joint Occupancy Agreement between the Judicial Council of California and the County dated March 31, 2009, the parties jointly occupy the building and parking lots located at 100 37th Street, Richmond. Both parties desire to reconfigure the allocation of parking spaces such that all 44 parking spaces in the north parking lot will be designated and reserved for County use and the first 55 parking spaces on the west side of the south parking lot will be designated and reserved for court use.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The County and courts will continue to use the current designated parking which is not optimal for either party's operations.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

Not applicable.
