RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21656 to add one permanent full-time Mental Health Clinical Specialist (VQSB) at salary level QT2-1384 ($4,382.92- $5,082.84) and cancel vacant permanent part-time Mental Health Clinical Specialist (VQSB) position #8157 and permanent intermittent Mental Health Clinical Specialist (VQSB) position #14076 at salary level QT2-1384 ($4,382.92- $5,082.84) in the Health Services Department. (Represented)

FISCAL IMPACT:

Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost savings of $13,788.49 with a pension increase of $13,858.76. 100% funded by the General Fund.

BACKGROUND:

Due to the retirement of two Mental Health Clinical Specialists assigned to the West County Adult Mental Health Clinic, we are requesting to cancel their positions #8157 (20/40) and #14076 (permanent intermittent), and add a full-time position assigned take on a full caseload. By having one permanent full time employee, it will give consistency and continuum of care for the clients and consumers at the West County Mental Health Clinic.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the Health Services Behavioral Health Division will not be able to best serve the mental health consumers and clients of West County.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

Not applicable.
