RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #24-710-2 with Youth Homes Incorporated, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $668,000, to provide a Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Full Service Partnership (FSP) for transitional age youth who are experiencing mental illness, for the period from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. This Contract includes a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2016, in an amount not to exceed $334,000.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 57% by the Mental Health Services Act and 43% by Federal Financial Participation. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing a comprehensive range of services and supports, including intensive individualized mental health services to transitional aged youth who are experiencing serious mental illness, likely to exhibit co-occurring disorders, and from underserved populations.
