RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Director of Airports, or designee, to execute an amendment to the Consulting Services Agreement between the County and the KPA Group dated March 12, 2019, for the Buchanan Field terminal project, to increase the payment limit by $10,200, from $1,054,209 to a new limit of $1,064,409.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The increase in the contract amount will be paid by the Airport Enterprise Fund.

BACKGROUND:

During the construction of the Buchanan Field Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) Terminal Building, the KPA Group is performing architectural and construction administration support services. Those services include preparing architect’s supplemental instructions and providing quality control. To provide the required quality control, the KPA Group must perform additional geotechnical services. The cost of these additional services necessitates an increase in the contract limit by $10,200, from $1,054,209 to a new limit of $1,064,409. No other changes are being made to the original contract.
