RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Public Works Director, a purchase order, with Netronix Integration, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $ 300,000 for access control products for the period from April 1, 2018 through March 31, 2020 Countywide. (100% General Fund).

FISCAL IMPACT:

This cost is to be funded through Public Works Facilities budget (100% General Fund).

BACKGROUND:

Public Works Materials Management is responsible for access control parts and supplies. Our facilities are equipped with Lenel brand access control hardware. This is the equipment that allows staff to gain access to buildings and gates with our keycards. As solicited on Bidsync # 1706-230, Netronix Integration, Inc. has been awarded this commodity. This commodity was bid for a two (2) year term with three (3) possible one year extensions.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this agreement is not approved, then purchasing access control products through Northland Control Systems will discontinue.
