RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #77-075 with Minimed Distribution Corp., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $600,000, to provide durable medical equipment services for Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members for the period from May 1, 2017 through April 30, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Contra Costa Health Plan Enterprise Fund II. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #77-075, the Contractor will provide durable medical equipment services for CCHP members for the period from May 1, 2017 through April 30, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, Contra Costa Health Plan members will not receive the benefits of durable medical equipment from the Contractor.
