RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #76-578 with Saurabh Sethi, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $375,000, to provide gastroenterology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical and Health Centers (CCRMC) for the period from April 1, 2017 through March 31, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Upon approval, the Department may incur contractual expenses of up to $375,000 during the proposed contract period, which would be funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #76-578, the Contractor will provide gastroenterology services, including, but not limited to: clinic coverage, consultation, on-call coverage, training and medical procedures at CCRMC for the period from April 1, 2017 through March 31, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring gastroenterology services at CCRMC will not have access to Contractor’s services.
